Creative Consultancy
This service has been developed to support schools, settings and professionals in developing creative practice. 2011 has brought significant changes in how schools can access creative provision, with the departure of organisations such as Creative Partnerships and staff such as the Cluster Co-ordinators. It has also seen a change in the level of support teachers receive in developing innovative creative programmes, allocating budget, ensuring quality external resource that meets the right needs and confidence that this resource will deliver a great result in relation to their spend.
We've responded by introducing a new creative consultancy and project management service that helps support teachers in the planning of all kinds of creative activity, looking at how it can be delivered and (only if it cannot be delivered using internal resource) providing impartial help in accessing a variety of trusted external providers and resources.
Planning Whether in relation to a specific project, or in a more general sense, a sideways Creative Consultant will work alongside the teachers to...
- Help identify needs and desired outcomes
- Develop a sustainable creative strategy or approach
- Discuss ideas for delivery and practical imperatives in relation to available budget
- Identify resource needed and whether this can be provided internally or if expertise needs to be brought in (we can help provide the right framework for your staff to deliver the programme/s)
- If appropriate, help source quality external creative resource, across all disciplines (music, drama, dance, visual arts, authors, new media, film production etc.)
- Create innovative, sustainable lesson plans and schemes of work
- Assist in evaluation against the original needs and desired outcomes
Working in partnership we will ensure that the school is confident and supported in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the exciting new programme.
'Creative Ethos' experiences Schools and settings can invite a Sideways Creative Consultant in to offer inspiration and practical suggestions for improving creativity. We will engage students and teachers in a journey of imagination to develop an ethos of creativity in the school.
