Experientials

"Ingenious" Roz Goddard, Creative Partnerships

Based on the idea of Thematic Learning, our 'Experientials turn the whole school into a stage.

We've gained a fantastic reputation for developing these highly creative experiences that immerse children and teachers alike in a fantastical world of imagination. We set everyone off on a creative journey that sparks learning right across the curriculum, and that is designed to continue long after we've left.

We often work with schools to develop their own ideas (for example, we were recently asked to develop a 'Dragon Egg' theme!), but to help budgetary restrictions we've also developed three of our best-loved programmes into affordable packages:

'Time Tunnel' (KS1 - 3)
Multi-curricular learning with a difference! After assembly, children return to class to find a character has suddenly emerged through a time anomaly. But the journey has robbed them of their memory! Using all available resources, and clues around the school, the groups of children need to help each character re-discover who they are and what their role in history was. They then go on to enjoy a range of activities, led by the character. We've brought forth Stan Laurel and had children making silent movies, Joan of Arc doing French language and culture, Darwin taking a nature trail and even Picasso teaching art! We've also introduced characters from fiction on World Book Day - Professor Snape, Verucca Salt and Van Helsing!

'Alien Invasion' (KS1- 2)
A crash-landing alien spacecraft, a news crew, the army and scientific experts! But what can the children learn about the alien and what should become of him?

'The Mystery of the Hidden Hoard'
(KS2 - 3) Primeval meets Indiana Jones! A strange collection of artefacts is discovered in the school field. Race to help Richie and his team of archaeologists solve the mystery of the symbols and save the hoard from the greedy Globacraft Corporation.

We'd be happy to get together and discuss your ideas for a day (or week!) of creative inspiration.
