Theatre tours

Sideways Theatre Company has developed a fantastic reputation for its work in children's theatre. Artistic Director Stephan Bessant has years of experience imagining and bringing to life wonderful theatrical treats that engage and excite children (and adults!) of all ages. Inspired by Directors such as David Wood (Stephan acted in his West End production of The BFG), the Sideways team has produced many shows that are an imaginative new spin on a well-known tale, this being our hallmark. Our productions start with a wonderful story and then take our young audiences on a rollercoaster journey that is visually and musically captivating.

We run a schools tour every Christmas, making quality theatre accessible to children that may not otherwise have the experience. We also provide performances at theatres and festivals (such as Edinburgh). Companies may also book the show for family Christmas evenings, or often sponsor a performance for a local charity or hospital.
